O programa da Prefeitura Municipal visa melhoria do parque cafeeiro.
A Prefeitura Municipal de Dores do Rio Preto, através da Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura, iniciou neste mês a distribuição de mudas de café arábica para os produtores que se inscreveram no programa de melhoria de qualidade genética e renovação do parque cafeeiro.
De acordo com o Secretário Municipal de Agricultura, Gilmar Trindade, serão atendido neste momento aproximadamente cem produtores, com a possibilidade de retirada de até duas mil mudas por propriedade.
Para se inserir no programa, o produtor tem que estar inserido no PRONAF – Programa Nacional de Agricultura Familiar e ter sua carta de aptidão (DAP), além de escritura da propriedade com o talão de produtor e a inscrição estadual.
As mudas que estão sendo produzidas vêm do viveiro Bom Jardim, de propriedade do senhor Manoel Moreira Nunes, aprovado por todos os órgãos de fiscalização. Segundo Gilmar, as variedades oferecidas são Catucai 2SL Amarelo, o Catucai CV 15 -785 Vermelho e o Catucai 44 IAC.
Ele explica que o município tem altitudes variadas e devido a isso algumas variedades são apropriadas para as partes mais altas e outras para as partes mais baixas do município. As altitudes variam de 600 a 1.600 metros, iniciando da região da comunidade do Rochedo, em Pedra Menina, até próximo à portaria do Parque Nacional do Caparaó na comunidade Forquilha do Rio, onde já são produzidos os melhores cafés da região do Caparaó capixaba.
O secretário garante que esse programa tem como objetivo incentivar cada vez mais a produção de cafés de qualidade especial. Gilmar salienta que o programa não se limita à distribuição de mudas. Os produtores recebem todo o acompanhamento técnico fornecido pela secretaria de agricultura e Incaper. “Com esse incentivo ao produtor, aumentaremos a produção de café e também a receita para o município, benefício que depois volta aos produtores”, explica.
O prefeito Cleudenir José de Carvalho Neto “Ninho”, ressaltou que este é apenas um dos muitos programas que a istração vem desenvolvendo no município. “A agricultura está sendo olhada com outros olhos. Nós estamos trabalhando com o objetivo de que os proprietários, por menores que sejam, obtenham sua independência financeira a partir da renda colhida na propriedade”, destaca.
Ninho ainda explica que a istração, além dos programas, tem dado mais condições aos proprietários com melhoria de estradas e atenção especial com assistência técnica. “A nossa agricultura de Dores é uma das mais desenvolvidas na região, basta olhar para nossa bacia leiteira e a produção de café, isso sem falar na produção de silagem e madeira. É por isso que não temos êxodo rural, cada vez mais os proprietários e seus familiares estão felizes no campo”, concluiu.
